“Nextdoor”

I don’t know how widespread “Nextdoor” is. A few years ago, I got an invitation by mail (said it was from one of my neighbors), inviting me to join a community forum type thing online, called Nextdoor. It showed that there was a group of people that live on ____ Rd, and it was Nextdoor, _____Rd. So, I joined.

It seemed ok, and I could find out things going on in the neighborhood, without having to gossip with anyone, or feel like a busybody. I guess it is similar to facebook or something, but is for the area in which one lives. So every now and again I go there and read some of what is going on in the neighborhood.
